Optimal K Management Improved Potato Yield and Soil Microbial Community Structure

چکیده

Optimal potassium (K) fertilizer application in potato cropping systems can effectively increase food production and mitigate soil microbial ecosystem stress. The dynamics sustainability of yield, the commodity rates (CRs), community structure were explored under four different K (kg ha−1 year−1): 0 (control), 75 (low K), 150 (medium 225 (high K). Compared with low-K application, medium-K high-K applications increased yields by 8.08% 11.66%, respectively. mean CR tubers during 4 years was significantly greater treatment than treatments. Both enhanced sustainable yield index (SYI) relative to Low-K 7.93% 9.34%, zero-K, low-K, treatments, improved total phospholipid fatty acid (PLFA) contents 11.91%, 16.84%, Moreover, bacterial PFLA, actinomycete gram-positive (G+) gram-negative (G−) PFLA soil. Overall, kg year−1 represents a promising fertilization strategy Southwest China.

Breaking continuous potato cropping with legumes improves soil microbial communities, enzyme activities and tuber yield

This study was conducted to explore the changes in soil microbial populations, enzyme activity, and tuber yield under the rotation sequences of Potato-Common vetch (P-C), Potato-Black medic (P-B) and Potato-Longdong alfalfa (P-L) in a semi-arid area of China. The study also determined the effects of continuous potato cropping (without legumes) on the above mentioned soil properties and yield. T...

Soil and plant effects on microbial community structure.

We investigated the effects of two different plant species (corn and soybean) and three different soil types on microbial community structure in the rhizosphere. Our working hypothesis was that the rhizosphere effect would be strongest on fast-growing aerobic heterotrophs, while there would be little or no rhizosphere effect on oligotrophic and other slow-growing microorganisms. Culturable bact...

Size fractionation and microbial community structure of soil aggregates

The microbial community structure in various microaggregates in a loamy sand soil was investigated. The microaggregates were separated into outer and inner aggregates using a series of soil washes. Further physical fractionation of inner aggregates was achieved by separation into coarse and fine sand as macroaggregate fractions, coarse and fine silt as microaggregate fractions, and clay. Resear...

Biological degradation of potato pulp waste and microbial community structure in microbial fuel cells

The microbial electrochemical cell (MEC) is a promising waste treatment technology to accomplish simultaneous alternative energy production and degradation of organic matters. Potato pulp waste (PPW) from a potato processing plant contains a large amount of carbohydrates that need be degradated before discharge into the environment. Here, we describe electricity generation in singlechamber micr...

Rhizodeposition shapes rhizosphere microbial community structure in organic soil.

The aims of the study were to determine group specificity in microbial utilization of root-exudate compounds and whole rhizodeposition; quantify the proportions of carbon acquired by microbial groups from soil organic matter and rhizodeposition, respectively; and assess the importance of root-derived C as a driver of soil microbial community structure. Additions of 13C-labelled root-exudate com...
